I think I want to knit this sweater, but I am afraid...plus I am greedy and seem to only knit things for myself. I am afraid to knit things for other people, because if they aren't a knitter, they won't appreciate the work that went into the item.

I think I need therapy.

She actually knit something to wear!!??

I actually knit something to wear and it turned out...well sort of. I got a bit anxious and knit the shoulders before I should have and made the neck way too high. I could fix it, but I am afraid to.

I also look at this picture and wonder why I am sitting here eating a bowl of apple crisp....yummy....

Fat Bottom Bag!

This is my Fat Bottom Bag...I wish the bottom was bigger...teeheee
I also have to say that this is my first crochet pattern, that I actually finished!!
It is in the Happy Hooker Stitch and Bitch book!
Love it!

The school year is under way!!

The school year is underway and things are getting settled down around here, into a schedule!
I recently finished the Meema's Marsupial pouch purse in the Stitch and Bitch book...and I even lined it!! I love this purse and it was fun and easy to knit. The little pouch is perfect for credit cards and cash.

This is the pouch and the lining...

These are a couple of the Ballband Warshrags that I made from the pattern in the Mason Dixon Knitting book. Love this book!! These are supposed to be put into the mail to my 3 imaginary friends, but I haven't gotten around to doing that yet. I am the best procrastinator in the world!!

Random thoughts....all I seem to have lately!

My oldest daughter just got her driver's license and I do have to say that it does make me feel alot less needed around here! It is nice she can drive herself to work....but I really need to find a purpose in my life!
Once school starts, and I have babies in the house, they will need me more than my teenagers do, right??
Or, I could always just start drinking on a daily basis, but that could effect my knitting, probably in a bad way, so maybe I better put that thought on hold...until I become a better knitter!! haha!

This is a buttonhole bag that I made out of our high school colors...it is not felted yet and I forgot to take a picture of it before I gave it away...duh!

This is the yarn that I made another buttonhole bag out of! It turned out really cute too.

I really want to make this hat, but I don't think I will wear it...most hats make me look like a lesbian. We will see!
Not that there is anything wrong with looking like a lesbian...it just usually isn't a 'look' that I go after, if I even have a 'look'!! teehee

Any idea what this could be?? My daughter wanted a 'change purse' and this is what I made...I got a bit carried away with it.
Then I felted it....and I thought it was all wool yarn, but obviously the pink yarn wasn't pure wool. whoops!!
I think it could be a cute pencil case! Any other ideas??

What to do??

What to do today?
Hhmmm...
I need to be Taxi mom in about an hour and then tonight we are going to a Columbus Crew soccer game. Should be interesting, since I don't know much about soccer, but if they sell beer there, I will be fine. I wonder if I could take my knitting with me?? LOL

I really have to finish that baby blanket, but I didn't wind the yarn into a ball and now the cream color is knotting up on me!! Aaahhh!!

You know, I keep thinking that buying yarn is my addiction.....

I really think it is buying knitting books that is my problem!

Happy Sunday!

Well...spent last night at my sister's 40th birthday party. She threw it for herself-she is funny, like that!

How did I stay out so late many many years ago?? I have been exhausted all day today! Whew!
I didn't get too much knitting done today. I really really have to finish the Big Bad Baby Blanket soon. It is a gift for a friend's daughter, and she could be in labor soon! The baby may even be present at his baby shower this Friday! LOL

This is the hat I already made for her too! I used Mission Falls cotton, which I loved working with! I hope she likes it!

Mason Dixon Knitting! Love this book!!

These are my first two warshrags that I have knitted from this book!

I love them so much, but I want to share them with all of my friends!
I am going to my (younger) sister's 40th birthday party tonight, so I am
trying to get the courage to give them to her. I need to get busy making
more of these!

Also, an old high school friend will be at this party too, and he thinks it is a complete
RIOT that I actually knit, so maybe I should give one of them to him too!!

hehehe

Finished Objects

I think I have gotten in over my head on keeping track of what I have knitted and what I want to knit. So...I am going to post pictures of what I have finished and what is in the process, along with things I would like to knit. My book and yarn stashes are ever increasing, so I need to get a handle on all of that.

I am also excited about keeping up on this 'blogging' thing. Maybe it will stick this time!

So....these are most of the items I have knitted that I could find, or that I haven't given away.

These are a couple of purses I felted.
