Knitted gifts

I have been knitting, but slowly. This is a baby sweater I made for a friend's grand daughter. It turned out pretty cute. There is a burp rag in the picture too!

My latest accomplishments!

These are my latest accomplishments! The socks were alot easier than I thought they would be. Regia yarn with size 2 needles. I used the basic pattern from the Cat Bordhi book, but only did the ribbing at the top. I didn't think I would like the yarn, but I do!! It is alot more comfy than I thought it would be!

The sweater is the Central Park Hoodie pattern from Knitscene magazine. Loved it! I learned alot because it was my first sweater!!

More Pictures

Of course, we had to take other family photos too....don't the girls look thrilled??

Family Pictures

This Christmas, all 7 of my brothers and sisters were together, so we thought it was time to get a picture taken since this doesn't always happen every year. Well, you would think that 7 people could all smile at the same time and I wouldn't make silly faces either.

Here we go.....

This first one isn't too bad....

What is up with my neck in this picture??

What does my face say here?? A...duh.....

This is the best one....and it was taken by my 6 year old neice!! LOL
Notice how the angle is a bit lower than the other ones?

Actually, the more I look at them the more I figure they aren't too bad considering what the camera had to work with! LOL
We probably could have picked a better place to take the picture-other than the back steps of the house. Oh well....

I AM still alive!!

Wow!! I am still around!

I am hoping to figure this blogger thing out and make this a better looking and working blog.
I don't seem to have as much patience to learn new things as I did before I turned 40. LOL I am going on 44 (AAAHHH!!!!!!) now, so I need to get on the ball!!

Anyways....I have decided not to knit the sweater in the post below but am going to try the Central Park Hoodie in the Knitscene magazine (fall 2006). I am probably about 1/2 way done and hope to finish before spring arrives! LOL
Here is a link to the KAL (knit a long) that I learned about this pattern from. I haven't even really done a knitalong either, but it is nice to see other knitters finish something that I am working on and get tips from them!
